Magesi FC striker Wonderboy Makhubu is living up to his name.
Dikwena Tša Meetse’s number 41 has continued to write his name in the history books of Magesi Football Club.
In the past few days, the marksman has caught the eye, with some fine performances.
On 26 September 2024, Makhubu scored our first ever goal in the Betway Premiership as we beat Golden Arrows 1-0 in a match played in KwaZulu-Natal.
And then on 28 September 2024, he was at it again when he was named Man of the Match in our goalless draw against Royal AM at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, becoming the first Magesi FC player to win the award in the top-flight.
As expected, Makhubu was full of smiles when Magesi FC’s media team caught up with him after the draw with Royal AM.

“Obviously, I’m happy. I get the support from my teammates, the technical team, and management,” reflected Makhubu.
The 27-year-old has continued where he left off last season. He finished as our top scorer in the past campaign with 11 goals, and he’s looking forward to a good contribution once again.
“Last season, I didn’t have a target in terms of goals, and I was more concerned about seeing the team compete well. This season, I come with the same mentality,” he continued.
“I just want to help the team get maximum points from our matches and stay in the Betway Premiership. If the goals come from me, it’s a bonus.
”Having said that, Makhubu believes the team is destined for a great season.
“I think we are going to improve as a team, mainly our finishing. Besides that, we are making good progress,” he added.
