Magesi FC triumphed against SuperSport United in the Betway Premiership on Saturday, 1 March 2025.
Dikwena Tša Meetse secured the 1-0 win at Seshego Stadium courtesy of Mcedi Vandala’s penalty in the second stanza.
Magesi FC came into the clash on the back of two defeats away and back on home turf, Owen Da Gama’s boys are no pushovers.
The visitors were on the front foot for the better part of the second half, but Magesi FC changed tact for the second half and immediately took control of proceedings after the interval.
Lehlohonolo Mtshali had an attempt at goal in the 48th minute, but couldn’t get a goal.
The breakthrough finally came in the 68th minute when Vandala was brought down in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. From 12 yards out, Vandala fired home with a left foot to give us the lead.
Magesi FC kept SuperSport at bay for the rest of the match to earn the maximum points, and captain Elvis Chipezeze was named Man of the Match.
