MAGESI FC UP AND RUNNING

Magesi FC has secured the first win of the Betway Premiership season, beating Siwelele FC 2-0 at Seshego Stadium on Saturday, 20 September 2025.

Delano Abrahams and Thabang Sibanyoni were on the scoresheet for Dikwena Tša Meetse.

The result lifted Magesi FC to 12th place on the log, with six points from seven matches.

Magesi FC could have scored as early as the fifth minute, but Wonderboy Makhubu was denied one-on-one by Siwelele goalkeeper.

The team had to contend with an injury-forced substitution when defender Tshepo Makgoga made way for Lehlogonolo Mokone just before the midway point of the first half.

The visitors were reduced to ten men when one of their players received a red card towards the interval and in injury time, Abrahams beat a defender down the left flank before scoring from a tight angle.

Magesi FC continued to dominate in the second stanza to add a second goal in the 71st minute, with Thabang Sibanyoni getting on the end of Nkanyiso Zungu’s corner kick to score with a glancing header.

From there, victory was secured and the three points.
