The Capricorn District Municipality has pledged its full support for Limpopo’s pride and joy, Magesi Football Club.
During a meet and greet in Polokwane on Tuesday, 20 August 2024, the Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, took the opportunity to first congratulate the team on its promotion to the Betway Premiership, which kicks off on 18 September 2024.
Cllr. Teffo paid a glowing tribute to Dikwena Tša Meetse and called on the people of Limpopo to rally behind the team in its maiden top-flight season.
“Today, on behalf of the Capricorn District Municipality and the entire community, we had an opportunity to invite Magesi Football Club to officially thank them for being promoted to the Premiership League,” said the Executive Mayor, who was clad in our blue and white stripes, at the Municipality’s offices in Polokwane.
“We also encourage our community members within our district to go in their numbers to support them as they play. As a Municipality, we also pledge that we will be rallying behind them by mobilizing the entire community of the District to go and attend their games and at times, support them with transportation to the stadium,” she continued.
“We are also congratulating them and also encouraging them that they must stay in the Premiership League and they must not be relegated. They do not have any reason to fail because the entire community of the Capricorn District is right behind them.”
