Magesi Football Club captain Elvis Chipezeze has expressed confidence that Dikwena Tša Meetse will cause a lot of upsets in the new season.
Chipezeze was speaking after an intense training session at our Polokwane base this week, on the back of the Premier Soccer League announcing the date for the official launch of the Betway Premiership 2024/25 season. The launch will be on Tuesday, 3 September, in Johannesburg.
Magesi will open its campaign with an away fixture against Sekhukhune United at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on 18 September 2024, in what would be an exciting Limpopo Derby.
Chipezeze, who does a great job between the sticks, is not fazed by the task that lies ahead.
“It’s always a good feeling to play in the top-flight, especially for some of us who have been there and so far, the preparatios are going well,” Chipezeze asserted, in conversation with Magesi’s media team.
The Zimbabwean international also revealed his delight at the fact that the new signings, including the likes of Gift Motupa, Delano Abrahams, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Tshepo Kakora and Limbikani Mzava have settled in very well.
“We believe we are on the right track and with the new boys that have joined us, are gelling very well,” he continued.
“They are trying to understand the way we play, etcetera, and we are making the best out of our pre-season so that we maintain our place in the top division,” added Chipezeze.
“We would also like to call upon our supporters to continue rallying behind us as we start this journey in the Betway Premiership.”
