Magesi Football Club remains on course to defend the Carling Knockout following a 3-2 win over AmaZulu in a Last 16 thriller played at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday, 5 October 2025.
Kgomotso Mosadi, Abbey Seseane, plus an own goal by Thabiso Kutumela, handed Dikwena Tša Meetse the win that saw us progress to the Quarterfinals for the second year running.
Magesi FC was 2-0 to the good at the break after Mosadi and Sesane scored in the 26th and 33rd minutes, respectively.

The hosts, however, fought back to level matters in the second half, making it 2-2.
But in the dying moments, Magesi FC had the last laugh when Kutumela scored in the wrong net for our victory on the road.
Magesi skipper Elvis Chipezeze was named Man of the Match.

Magesi XI versus AmaZulu: Chipezeze, Matima, Mokone J. M. (Muvhango 75′), Mokone L., Abrahams, Mtshali, Seseane (Darpoh 63′), Zungu (Sibanyoni 76′), Makhubu, Mashigo, Mosadi.
After this match, the Premier Soccer League [PSL] conducted the Quarterfinals draw, and we have been drawn against Orlando Pirates away.

The dates, venues, and kick off times will be confirmed in due course.
Last year, Magesi FC beat Orlando Pirates 3-2 in Orlando in a first-round clash, on our way to winning the 2024 Carling Knockout.
