On Saturday afternoon, 19 October 2024, Magesi FC and Orlando Piratss will go head-to-head in a Carling Knockout clash.
The match is penciled for 15:00 at Orlando Stadium, one of the iconic venues of South African football.
Formed in 2011, Dikwena Tša Meetse and one of the oldest clubs in the country, Orlando Pirates, who were founded in 1937, could best be described as a David versus Goliath battle.
However, as things stand, Magesi FC are just as confident heading into the clash, on the back of a decent start to the season for the Limpopo club, having picked up a win and a draw in four outings.
While Pirates will be breaming with confidence playing in their own backyard and having recently been crowned MTN8 champions, Magesi FC has proven, in the past, that the team can hold its own on the opposition turf.
