Magesi FC’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team will be in action this weekend against Orlando Pirates.
The two sides meet at the Isak Steyl Stadium in the Vaal on Saturday, 5 October 2024 (10H00).
Placed eighth on the log, Magesi DDC are one of the teams to watch, and although it’s certainly a litmus test against the young Buccaneers, Magesi DDC are no pushover as witnessed in previous games.Magesi DDC opened the season with a 1-1 draw against the reigning champions, Stellenbosch.
Timothy Madia’s boys have since drawn with AmaZulu and Polokwane City, beaten Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 and suffered their only defeat 1-0 to Kaizer Chiefs in recent matches.

While Magesi DDC is a fairly attacking team, it also boosts one of the best defences in the league. After five matches, Magesi DDC has the fourth-best defence after AmaZulu (2 goals conceded), Kaizer Chiefs (3), and TS Galaxy (3).
Magesi FC occupy the eighth spot with six points from five outings and Pirates, on the other hand, are sixth with eight points from the same number of matches.
A win for the Limpopo side will see them leapfrog the Buccaneers and Magesi FC can certainly count on a number of players.
Magesi DDC is a team brimming with talent, and as the season continues, the likelihood is that this team will administer bite to a lot of teams.
And that’s why they are called Dikwena Tša Meetse.
