Dikwena Tša Meetse invade Mpumalanga

There’ll be a lot at stake when TS Galaxy host Magesi FC in Sunday’s Carling Knockout Quarterfinals clash.

The battleground will be the Mbombela Stadium, with kickoff set for 15:00.

With the semi-finals draw set to take place immediately after this match, a spot in the last four of this prestigious cup competition is priceless, especially for Clinton Larsen’s charges.

With victory, Magesi FC will continue to etch its name in the history of South African football, and Larsen has backed the team to emerge victorious.

“You know it’s our first experience in a cup competition. It’s very exciting for the club, very exciting for 70% of our team that’s never played in a cup competition, so something for us to look forward to as a club,” Larsen told the media ahead of the clash.

Magesi FC forward Wonderboy Makhubu will certainly be one of the players to watch, but, as in previous games, Dikwena Tša Meetse have shown they are a team in the true sense of the word.

“I’m just pleased that our players keep surprising us, keep fighting (together), and keep trying to execute what we worked on,” added Larsen.
