For the fourth time this season, Magesi FC’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team will be playing away when we face Golden Arrows in KwaZulu Natal.
The two sides will lock horns at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont on Saturday, 26 October 2024 at 10H00, and Magesi FC has a proud record to protect.
Incredibly, Magesi DDC is one of only two sides in the League to remain unbeaten in away matches, alongside AmaZulu.
In three away outings, Magesi DDC has beaten Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1, drew 1-1 with Polokwane City, and held Orlando Pirates to a goalless draw.
The boys will now switch focus to Golden Arrows, hopeful of a win in Clermont, a township in Durban.
A win will elevate Timothy Madia’s charges to possibly a top eight place, depending on other results.
“The only thing we are going to do in the upcoming game is change the pattern to play with two 10s, because we realize in most of the games that we played, we never created a lot of chances,” Madia tells Magesi FC’s media team.
“Going to Golden Arrows, we are going to make sure we score goals in the first half, because if you check, Arrows have conceded 19 goals in seven matches. Our aim is attack them until the game is finished.”
Meanwhile, Golden Arrows DDC remains winless after seven matches, and with three points at stake, both sides would provide great entertainment.
Best of luck to Magesi DDC.
