On Saturday, 21 December 2024, Magesi FC suffered a defeat to the Carling All Stars in Orlando, Soweto.
Dikwena Tša Meetse, who were taking part in the exhibition game as the 2024 Carling Knockout champions, came up against the All Stars team that was voted for by football fans across the country.
Despite our efforts, Magesi FC went down 3-0 to All Stars, ending what has been otherwise a historic campaign.
Recently, Magesi FC became the first-ever newly promoted team to win the League Cup in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) era.
The opportunity to add more silverware came against All Stars, but it wasn’t to be for Magesi FC, as we conceded three first half goals to lose the tie.
Magesi FC will now turn the attention to League action, with the last match of the year coming up against Orlando Pirates at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, 29 December 2024.
