Magesi Football Club’s participation in the Nedbank Cup 2025 has come to an end after a 2-0 defeat to SuperSport United.
Dikwena Tša Meetse lost the tie on Tuesday, 28 January 2025 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Magesi FC fell behind five minutes into the match as SuperSport United took the lead.
The hosts had good possession for the better part of the first half, but the second half started in the same vein as the first stanza, when the visitors increased their lead just six minutes after the restart.
On the bench for Magesi FC, Head Coach Owen Da Gama rang in the changes, but in the end, it wasn’t our day as SuperSport United held on to reach the Last 16.
Magesi FC now turns its full attention to League action and we will face Richards Bay away on Friday, 31 January 2025, at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban, KwaZulu Natal.
