MAGESI FC FALLS SHORT IN DURBAN

Magesi Football Club conceded in the dying moments to lose 2-1 against Golden Arrows in a Betway Premiership encounter.

The two sides met at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Wednesday, 27 August 2025.

Magesi FC made a bright start, and ten minutes into the match, Mcedi Vandala put us ahead.

Vandala combined superbly with Wonderboy Makhubu before driving home a left-footed shot from just inside the 18-yard area.

However, our joy was short-lived when Arrows equalized a minute later.

Magesi FC went on to suffer a setback on the half-hour mark when Vandala succumbed to an injury and had to be replaced by Kgothatso Mariba.

Moments later, Thabang Sibanyoni was denied by the Arrows goalkeeper, and Makhubu headed just off target from the rebound.

By halftime, the two teams were tied at 1-1.

In the second half, the match appeared destined for a draw, but the home side found a late winner.

In our next match, we will host AmaZulu at Seshego Stadium on Saturday, 30 August 2025.

Kick off for this encounter is set for 15H00.
