Magesi Football Club is growing in leaps and bounds.
According to our Supporters Coordinator, Mr. Collins Manaka, the club has established more branches in other areas around South Africa.
Founded just 13 years ago in Moletjie – outside Polokwane in Limpopo, Magesi Football Club has its base around the area.
However, the club, which is in its maiden Betway Premiership season, has attracted more supporters as the team continues to grow.
“We’ve had branches in places like Moletjie, Moletjie-Moshate, Rampuru, Mabokelele, Mankweng and Nobody, just to name a few,” said Manaka.
“Now we have more than 15 branches, because the new ones are Giyani, Tzaneen, Gauteng, Mashashane, Bochum, Motinti, Seshego Zone 5 and Mmotong. This is great news for the club and we are very happy.”
The team is prepared for the season. The supporters have grown in numbers. It’s all systems go for Magesi FC and Manaka has shed some light in terms of arrangements for today’s clash with Sekhukhune United at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium (19H30) and indeed, setting the tone for the rest of the season.
“Our supporters have a code of conduct,” Manaka asserted.
“What happens on the field is business for the technical team and the players. Our supporters know we are only there to encourage the players, not to go against our own,” he said.
“That is what is expected of Magesi FC supporters. I also urge our supporters to arrive early and regarding Wednesday, I have to distribute t-shirts to our supporters. Our supporters must communicate with our branch leaders and because they must arrive early, they must remain inside their taxis or buses, so their branch leaders can allocate the t-shirts. This is very important.
“For the sale of the jersey, we have given our supporters Francina Makhubela’s number to communicate with her and as you know, her team will be outside the stadium selling our new home jersey. Let’s make sure we buy the jersey in numbers and support our team.
“We are one big family as Magesi FC. We must sit and sing together. For the team, we expect them to take three points and we must always be in the top eight,” Manaka concluded.
