MAGESI FC TURNS SESHEGO INTO SLAUGHTERHOUSE

Magesi FC has achieved a fifth home win in a row, with victory against Stellenbosch FC.

Dikwena Tša Meetse beat Stellies 1-0 at Seshego Stadium on Saturday, 29 March 2025.

Thabang Sibanyoni came off the bench to net the winner and Magesi FC has moved to 11th on the log.

The hosts started the match well and could have scored in the 19th minute, but Kayden Rademeyer’s attempt was off target.

Magesi FC captain Elvis Chipezeze then pulled off a great save from a header by Andre De Jong, just past the half hour mark.

Not to be deterred, Magesi FC made two substitutions going into the second half; Mcedi Vandala and Thabang Sibanyoni came off the bench for Bafedile Baloyi and Tholang Masegela, respectively.

The changes paid off in the 70th minute when Sibanyoni fired past Sage Stephens.

Magesi left back John Mokone was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

Magesi XI: Chipezeze, J. Mokone, Matima, Makgoga, Mtshali, Buthelezi, L. Mokone, Abrahams, Masegela (Sibanyoni 46’), Baloyi (Vandala 46’), Rademeyer.

The next match for Magesi FC will only be in a few weeks when we return to Seshego Stadium to host TS Galaxy on 20 April 2025.
