The reigning Carling Knockout champions, Magesi FC, have been drawn against AmaZulu in the Last 16 of this year’s edition.
The draw was conducted by the Premier Soccer League [PSL] at the FNB Stadium on Monday, 22 September 2025.
Magesi FC will face AmaZulu away in the first round of the prestigious cup competition. The League will announce the dates, venues, and kick-off times in due course.
Dikwena Tša Meetse surprised all and sundry last year, becoming the first-ever newly promoted team to win the League Cup.
Magesi FC beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the final that took place in Bloemfontein, with captain Elvis Chipezeze subsequently named the Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament.
Limpopo’s pride and joy would be keen to see history repeat itself in the 2025 edition.
