Carling Knockout champions Magesi FC returned to League action on Saturday, 30 November 2024, and suffered a setback with a 2-0 defeat to Chippa United.
The Betway Premiership match was played at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London, Eastern Cape.
Chippa United were 2-0 up at the break courtesy of a brace by Sinoxolo Kwayiba, and Dikwena Tša Meetse could’ve reduced the deficit immediately after the restart, but Edmore Chirambadare’s penalty was saved by Stanley Nwabali.
Later on, Lehlogonolo Mokone and Wonderboy Makhubu had chances to get us back into the game, but it wasn’t to be as Magesi FC couldn’t get on the scoresheet.
Magesi’s next match is against Marumo Gallants at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium on Saturday, 7 December 2024.
