Magesi FC striker Rhulani Manzini has shared his thoughts ahead of the League clash against Chippa United on Saturday, 30 November 2024.
Dikwena Tša Meetse meet the Chilli Boys at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London, with kick off at 20H00.
One of the experienced campaigners of Dikwena Tša Meetse, Manzini, has, on many occasions, backed the team to come good.
During our Carling Knockout run, which culminated in the team winning the trophy and re-writing the history books, Manzini was always in a confident mood, and as we return to League action, Magesi’s marksman has maintained the same stance.
“I believe we can beat Chippa,” he asserted.
“We have a strong team, and it showed on the weekend (when we beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the Carling Knockout Final) that we can beat any team in the League. We don’t have to undermine Chippa, but put in the same fighting spirit and the results will come,” Manzini said, while in conversation with the club’s media team.
Last season, Magesi FC was the best team away in the National First Division and that aided our cause as we gained automatic promotion and this season, Manzini has backed the team to continue to show the same fighting spirit on the road, as when we play in our own backyard.
“Even though it’s difficult, we show the same fighting spirit, and it’s down to the hard work we put in,” Manzini added.
“I think we have settled (since our promotion). We also have to understand that the League and Cups are two different things. The League is our bread and butter, and we have to make sure we do well. It’s 11 vs. 11, and anything is possible in this League. My wish for us before the year ends is to see us in the top eight.”
Magesi occupy the 13th spot on the Betway Premiership standings with six points from the same number of matches.
