Motsepe gives an update on our readiness

As much as the football world is excited to watch Magesi FC in action, so too is the rest of the team about the Betway Premiership season.

Dikwena tša Meetse will get their season underway with an away clash against Sekhukhune United on Wednesday, 18 September 2024, at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, with kickoff set for 19:30.

Based on a few factors, the spotlight is on Magesi FC.

With last season’s dominance of the National First Division and strengthening the team with 12 new signings, a lot will be expected from the Limpopo club.

Magesi FC’s new defender Sello Motsepe has assured the ‘Blue Nation’ that the team is raring to go, starting against his former side.

“I feel the team has prepared very well during pre-season,” Motsepe said during a chat with www.magesi.co.za.

“We had the longest pre-season like any other team (since 24 June), and we’ve been preparing very well under the guidance of our technical team.”

“We’ve played friendlies, and now I think it’s time to execute and put everything to plan. So, we’ve been working very hard, and I think the team is ready, not only for our first game but for the season,” Motsepe reiterated.

“We also want to thank the management for supporting us throughout the whole pre-season program. I’m really happy to be at Magesi, and for the game against Sekhukhune, we respect them. It’s their fourth season in the Premier League, and they have the experience, but we will go there to fight. We are focusing more on ourselves; our tactics and how we are going to approach the game on Wednesday, try to get maximum points.”

The 31-year-old has emphasized the importance of getting off to a good start.

“Getting three points in the first game of the season gives you a good start, and we don’t want to start on a bad foot. We know it’s not going to be easy.”

In conclusion, Motsepe has called on the club’s supporters to come in numbers and be the 12th man.

“To our faithful supporters, our fans, I’d like for you to rally behind us on Wednesday. We are going to give them a good match to watch,” he concluded.
