Midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu has shared his journey thus far since arriving at Magesi Football Club in August 2025.
The 29-year-old was named Man of the Match in the 2-1 win against TS Galaxy, in a Betway Premiership clash played at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday, 18 October 2025.
Zungu, who can also play on the left wing, has featured in seven matches for Dikwena Tša Meetse, and so far, he’s expressed his delight at the progress he’s made with the team.
“You have to work very hard to get back to this stage [the Premiership],” said Zungu, who was playing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship in the past season.

“But I’m getting used to it. I’m thankful that I’m pushing at training to get back to how things used to be [in the past]. Everything is okay [at the club].”
Moreover, Zungu, who hails from KwaZulu Natal, has also opened up about working with head coach, John Maduka.
“I’m very happy to be working with him. He’s a father figure to the players and he’s pushing us at training, and he keeps telling us that when we play, we must stick to what we know and how we play,” he said.
“So, we must not change the way we play. It makes me happy to work under him.”
Magesi FC returns to action on Tuesday, 28 October 2025, when we take on Orlando Pirates in the Quarterfinals of the Carling Knockout. The match will take place at Orlando Stadium.
